Street Department FAQ
Q: Are there plans to extend Post Oak to Mayhill?
A: There are currently no active plans to expand or extend Post Oak.
Q: The curb in front of my house is broken. What do I do?
A: Contact the Streets Department at 940-349-7160. The Streets Department will repair damaged curbs under two conditions. (A) The curb must be on a city street, and (B) the Streets Department must have the funding available for the repairs. Currently the turnaround time for repairs is around a month, but again, this is dependent on funding and staffing.
Q: I think an intersections need a stop sign, a yield sign, or some other type of signage OR I think there is something wrong with a sign already on display. What do I do?
A: If you see a sign (public or private) that is dilapidated or deteriorated (faded, flaked, broken, missing pieces, dented, twisted, etc.), those signs can be referred to Leo Bonanno, Senior Code Enforcement Officer at 940-349-7450 or email@example.com. Signs can be fixed quickly. Private sign owner received a notice and a deadline to fix their sign. If you believe an intersection or street needs a sign installed (stop sign, yield sign, etc.), or if you think there is an issue with an existing sign that is not damaged, contact Bernard Vokoun in the Engineering Department at 940-349-7710. Questions for Bernard include questions about public signage on public roads, not private business or advertising signage.
Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless."
